Teddy Pendergrass

Sultry singer Teddy Pendergrass lost his battle with colon cancer at age 59. His career was derailed at it's peak by a car accident that left him confined to a wheelchair, although he did record and periodically performed. Originally he played drums for Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes and later became their lead vocalist. He forged a solo career with hits like Love TKO.
